Vauban Protocol is designed with privacy in mind. We minimize data collection to only what is necessary for the Protocol to function.

Information You Provide

• Wallet Address: When you connect your wallet, your public blockchain address is used to display your positions and enable transactions.
• Transaction Data: All transactions are recorded on the Starknet blockchain and are publicly visible.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymized usage data to improve the Protocol (e.g., page views, feature usage).
• Technical Data: Browser type, device information, and IP address may be logged for security and debugging purposes.

We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:

• Protocol Operation: To display your staking positions, rewards, and pending withdrawals.
• Security: To detect and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, and security threats.
• Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve the user experience.
• Communication: To respond to your inquiries if you contact us.

Please be aware that blockchain technology is inherently transparent:

• All transactions on Starknet are publicly recorded and visible to anyone.
• Your wallet address and transaction history can be viewed on block explorers.
• We cannot delete or modify blockchain data once a transaction is confirmed.
• This is a feature of decentralized systems, not a limitation of our Protocol.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information:

• No Central Database: We do not maintain a central database of user information. Your wallet data is read directly from the blockchain.
• Secure Infrastructure: Our servers use encryption and are protected by industry-standard security measures.
• Smart Contract Audits: Our smart contracts have been audited by reputable security firms.

The Protocol may integrate with or link to third-party services:

• Wallet Providers: Argent X, Braavos, and other Starknet wallets have their own privacy policies.
• RPC Providers: Blockchain data is fetched through RPC nodes which may log requests.
• Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand usage patterns.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in conjunction with our Protocol.

The Protocol uses minimal browser storage:

• Local Storage: Used to remember your preferences (theme, settings) and wallet connection state.
• No Tracking Cookies: We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

You have the following rights regarding your information:

• Access: You can view all your on-chain data through block explorers.
• Disconnect: You can disconnect your wallet at any time to stop sharing your address with the Protocol interface.
• Clear Local Data: You can clear your browser's local storage to remove saved preferences.

Note that on-chain data cannot be deleted due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology.

The Protocol is accessible globally. By using the Protocol, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the Protocol interface or our official communication channels. Your continued use of the Protocol after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
